What is photography estimate software?
Photography estimate software helps a studio turn services and prices into a proposal a client can review. In Still Bureau, that means one or more packages, optional additions, an expiration, and a saved version the assigned client can accept.
Still Bureau uses the terms quote and proposal because acceptance can become part of the project record. The studio remains responsible for reviewing the language and deciding which separate agreement, invoice, payment, and booking requirements apply.
A proposal, not an automation shortcut
Four steps that stay visibly separate.
Each state records a different commitment. Still Bureau does not treat a published document, an accepted package, a settled payment, and a confirmed booking as the same event.
Build the choices
01Create a photography quote with named packages, descriptions, prices, and optional additions. The studio reviews the exact draft before publishing it.
Publish the reviewed proposal
02Publishing makes the saved version available in the assigned client workspace. It does not email the client, sign an agreement, collect payment, or confirm a booking.
Record the accepted terms
03The client chooses one available package and any optional additions. Still Bureau keeps the accepted proposal version with that project.
Connect the payment path
04When the studio configures the proposal-to-booking journey, acceptance creates the project invoice and its installment schedule. Payment and booking confirmation remain separate steps.
Review before release
The client sees the version you publish.
A proposal draft stays in the studio workspace until it is reviewed and published. Package prices and the saved document version remain part of the accepted record.
Choose the project and client
A proposal belongs to a specific project and assigned client rather than a generic public price list.
Review every package
Check package names, descriptions, prices, optional additions, expiration, and the complete document copy.
Define what secures the date
Choose the specific proposal, agreement, invoice, payment amount, and booking that the readiness check should evaluate.
Confirm the booking separately
A completed checklist reports the current records. The studio still makes the booking-confirmation decision.
Test the complete handoff
Use one real project before changing the studio workflow.
New accounts can test proposals, agreements, invoices, projects, and booking readiness during the no-card Studio trial. These business workflows begin on Pro after the trial; the website and gallery workflow can continue on Free within its published limits.

Proposal questions
Know what each action does.
Is a photography estimate the same as a proposal in Still Bureau?
Still Bureau calls this document a quote or proposal. It can present packages and optional additions for a client to accept. Review the wording, prices, taxes, expiration, and any legal terms your studio needs before publishing it.
Does publishing a proposal send it to the client?
No. Publishing makes the reviewed proposal available in the assigned client workspace. Sending the workspace or a reminder is a separate studio action.
Does accepting a proposal charge a card or confirm the booking?
No. Acceptance does not charge a card or confirm a booking. When the connected proposal journey is configured, acceptance can create the selected invoice and installment schedule. Payment settlement, agreement completion, availability, and studio confirmation are checked separately.
Can a proposal include several photography packages?
Yes. A quote can include multiple named packages and optional additions, each with its own description and price. The client chooses one package and the available additions before accepting.
Which plan includes photography proposals and invoices?
Quotes, contracts, invoices, projects, and the connected booking workflow begin on Pro. New accounts can test the currently available Studio features for 14 days without a card. After the trial, this workflow requires an eligible paid plan shown on the live pricing page.
