Acceptable Use Policy
The rules for what may be published, delivered, sold, and sent through Still Bureau — written so that legitimate professional photography stays possible and abuse does not.

01Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses Still Bureau: account owners, collaborators they invite, and visitors to a published site, gallery, or store.
You are responsible for everything published or sent through your account, including content submitted by collaborators and by visitors through forms you enable.
02Prohibited content
Do not upload, publish, deliver, or sell content that:
- sexually exploits or endangers a child, in any form, real or synthetic — this is reported to the authorities and results in immediate, permanent termination;
- depicts a person in a sexual or intimate way without their informed consent, including synthetic or manipulated imagery;
- you do not have the rights to — including work you did not create, work whose licence does not permit the use, and images of people or property without the releases the use requires;
- infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or moral rights, or misappropriates trade secrets;
- incites, threatens, or glorifies violence, or promotes terrorism or a violent extremist organization;
- harasses, bullies, defames, or targets a person or group with hateful conduct based on a protected characteristic;
- exposes a person's private information without permission, including home addresses, government identifiers, or financial account details;
- is unlawful in a jurisdiction where you publish it, or promotes an unlawful good or service, including regulated goods you are not licensed to sell;
- contains malware, exploits, or code designed to interfere with a device, browser, or our systems.
Photography of nudity, the human body, medical and forensic subjects, conflict, and other difficult material is legitimate professional work and is permitted where it is lawful, consensual, and appropriately presented. What is prohibited is exploitation, non-consent, and illegality — not the subject matter itself.
03Prohibited conduct
Platform integrity
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or break authentication or authorization, except under the Security & Disclosure program.
- Do not access another customer's account, site, gallery, or files, and do not circumvent gallery passwords, invitation links, download limits, watermarks, or the controls that protect paid originals.
- Do not evade plan limits, storage quotas, or fees — for example by splitting one business across accounts, reselling capacity, or automating quota resets.
- Do not use the Service as generic file hosting, a content delivery network for unrelated sites, a proxy, or a backup target for material unrelated to your photography business.
- Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-download beyond what our published interfaces allow, or impose an unreasonable load that degrades the Service for others.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
Messaging
- Send email, SMS, and push messages only to people who gave you the required permission for that channel, and keep records of it.
- Honor unsubscribe, STOP, and revocation requests promptly, and never send to an address or number that has unsubscribed or been suppressed.
- Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, purchase or rent recipient lists, harvest addresses, or disguise the sender or subject of a message.
- Include accurate sender identification and a working unsubscribe link in every marketing message.
Commerce and identity
- Do not use the storefront for fraud, money laundering, test-card abuse, or transactions unrelated to your listed goods and services.
- Describe what you sell accurately, including licence scope, delivery time, and refund terms, and honor what you promised.
- Do not impersonate another person, studio, or brand, or register a subdomain or connect a domain in order to pass yourself off as someone else.
- Do not misrepresent your relationship with Still Bureau or suggest we endorse you.
04Reporting a violation
Report abuse to hello@stillbureau.com. Include the URL, what you believe is wrong, and how to reproduce or find it. Copyright complaints follow the separate procedure in the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
Child sexual abuse material and credible threats to life are handled immediately and reported to the appropriate authorities.
05How we enforce this policy
We investigate reports and act proportionately. Depending on severity we may ask you to fix the problem, remove or unpublish specific content, restrict a feature, suspend the account, or terminate it and refuse future service.
- Notice first, where we can. For most issues we contact the account owner, explain what is wrong, and give a reasonable chance to correct it.
- Immediate action where required. Illegal material, threats to safety, active security or fraud risks, and payment abuse may be acted on without prior notice.
- Repeat infringers. Accounts that are repeatedly the subject of valid infringement notices are terminated.
- Appeals. If you believe we acted in error, reply to the enforcement notice or write to hello@stillbureau.com with an explanation. We will review it and restore anything we removed by mistake.
Suspension or termination for a violation does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
